Diving

Certified

For all of you who already hold a license, this is your section. All courses below are for age 10 and above.

We try to find more dive sites in our area, so there is always a chance for an explorative adventure. However, our existing dive sites are pretty epic as well! Ranging from shallow coral reefs with an abundance of marine life, to our artificial reef covered in subsurface growth and a ship wreck where pelagic fish stare back at you. The weather can be unpredictable, but we always try to make the experience the best possible and pick a spot with the calmest conditions.

Diving season

All courses are available mid October to mid May, weather permitting. Visibility can range from 5–25 meters and the water keeps a very comfortable 27–30°C.

No hidden fees

The prices include everything you need to do a fun dive or to learn to dive and receive your certification – equipment, administration, boat transport, e-learning, etc.

All prices are in US dollars. Payments are to be made in cash. We accept US dollars ($) or rupees (exchange rate to US dollars on payment day).

EXPLORATION DIVES

1 boat dive to a mapped dive site plus 1 exploration boat dive. This is for the adventurous and curious diver who wants to explore, gamble and hope to find a new dive site.

refresher

For you certified divers who haven't dived in a while and feel a bit rusty. A pool session to refresh your primary skills and a chance to swim around to regain your confidence. An opportunity to ask the instructor about any issues or questions, before we go out in the big blue.

DAY TRIP

Experience the wild side of Indian Ocean diving. Great Basses Reef is an offshore lighthouse in the south of Sri Lanka, located 13 km off the coast of Yala National Park. Here, you’ll meet larger pelagic creatures and big schools of fish. More life, more colour, more viz!

Diving the Great Basses is an adventure for the experienced diver (at least AOWD and comfortable with surge and strong currents).

This excursion is only possible March–April.

Advanced courses

PADI ADVANCED
OPEN WATER DIVER

Requirement: OWD
Certification: AOWD
Time: 2 days

This course is mainly practical with five ocean dives. Compulsory dives are deep and navigation dives. Certificate to max 30m.

EFR FIRST AID

Requirement: AOWD
Certification: EFR
Time: 1 day

Take this course to become an Emergency First Responder. It is also needed for the PADI Rescue Diver course.

This is a full on course teaching you both practically and theoretically how to prevent that something goes wrong and what to do if it still happens. Many students say this is one of the most rewarding courses.
